The Percival McDonald Scholars of Excellence Award is one of Pandraa HealthTech University’s highest student honors. It recognizes exceptional students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the healthcare profession.
This award is named in honor of Mr. Percival McDonald, a respected public servant and academic leader whose vision and dedication to healthcare education helped lay the foundation for PHU. His lifelong work focused on strengthening healthcare systems, advancing medical education, and preparing future-ready healthcare professionals to serve communities across the Caribbean and beyond.
Who Is Eligible?
Students may be considered for the award if they:
- Earn a minimum GPA of 3.8
- Rank in the top one-third of their class
- Maintain this standing across all three trimesters in the academic year
How the Award Is Given
- One Outstanding Student is selected from each academic program every year
- Award recipients are recognized with a Gold Sash as a symbol of excellence and achievement
