ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE PROGRAMS :
Minimum requirements for entry into Associate of Science Programs -
High School Diploma:
Strong science background.
O Level and CXC/CSEC:
Minimum 6 subjects with a minimum of C+ in Biology, Chemistry, and either Math or Physics.
India 10+2:
Minimum of 60% average with no grade below 60% in Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English.
WASSCE / NECO:
C or better in minimum 6 subjects which include Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE PROGRAMS :
Minimum requirements for entry into Bachelor of Science Programs -
Advanced Levels:
Minimum 3 subjects with a minimum of C+ in Biology, Chemistry, and either Math or Physics.
Associate of Science:
Must have completed at least 01 year of Associate of Science program with minimum 60 credits after CSEC.
Full IB Diploma:
Requires a minimum score of 32 points; 3 HL science subjects recommended; minimum of 2 HL subjects required, which must include Chemistry and Biology; results 5 or higher.
India 10+2 or CBSE:
Minimum of 60% average with no grade below 60% in Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English.
WASSCE / NECO:
C or better in minimum 6 subjects which include Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English.
NON-ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Sensory / Observational Skills
Candidates for admission to the School of Health Professions must be able to observe demonstrations and participate in laboratory or clinical experiments and practices as required by the program of interest.
Physical and Motor Skills
Candidates for admission to the School of Health Professions must have sufficient motor function to operate / manipulate and maintain a microscope and/or microtome and other laboratory equipment.
Communication Skills
Candidates for admission to the School of Health Professions must be able to communicate in English and medical terminology in oral and written form to faculty, staff, colleagues, other health care professionals, patients and visitors.
Social Behavior and Professionalism
Candidates for admission to the School of Health Professions must demonstrate the ability to follow instructions / procedures with accuracy and precision.
